I was listening to Dr Randy Tobler this morning on 97.1 and he made a comment that stuck a chord inside of me. He mentioned how America’s culture might have been mortally wounded by Obama’s attack on success, and how he has made it evil. I completely agree with this, but i think its deeper, and im sure he would agree, its not success that this President doesnt agree with. It success in ways he doesnt like he doesnt agree with.
President Obama has no problem hanging around some of the most wealthy people in America if their address puts them near a stadium or a movie studio. He spent D Day in Hollywood having a conference with America’s wealthiest young people figuring out the most effective way they can tweet for his re-election. He makes it know his foundness for athletes.
If youre a person who makes a ton of money, spends it all on yourself and employees a precious few to take care of you, your money and your image, hes probably ok with it. If youre a musician who makes your living extoling the thug life, drug use, womanizing and basically being the worst type of greedy people he supposedly opposes, he will take your check and make sure the world knows hes a fan if it helps him garner votes. Rap about having to shoot people….thats cool…nothing to see there in his eyes. Sing about the drugs you sold to come up….hey, thats an exceptional story of how to rise up.
Now, if youre a CEO of a company who employees thousands of people…youre greedy. Run a fund that contains thousands of peoples retirement funds….you dont pay enough. Start a business and help employee people in your local community, and be lucky enough to have a GROSS income of over 250,000 a year, BEFORE profit….well you have no skin in the game do ya?
The dangerous fact is more and more people are agreeing with this. Envy is unamerican. We used to be a country who was proud of our Henry Fords, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, et al….but now, we see demons when we see people who have more than us. It doesnt matter if they started a company, innovated, helped people guide their money successfully through investments….if youre not a person who he agrees with how you got your fortune, its fair game for a president to call you out from the bully pulpit.
Its time America rolled up its sleeves, got off the couch, put down the disability applications, and stopped taking handouts. Its time to tune out the noise, stop the envy, and quit allowing this man to decide who’s money was gained in an acceptable way. This isnt America. Be proud of those who have success and strive for your own. And everytime you hear some hollywood star running down a country unlike anything else the world has ever seen before, stop buying tickets to their movies. Why should they get to be rich and exempted from the same scrutiny everyone else should endure in their eyes?
Dont throw stones if you live in glass mansions, even if its the white house.
